Of all the jaw-on-the-floor videos taken at tea party rallies and protests and such, this is by far the most revolting I’ve seen. Like, stomach-turning, blood pressure rising revolting. Ladies and gentleman, this is the tea party at its worst.

This is terrifying.

I know this has as much to do with my own past as the similarities, but watching this, I keep picturing the scene in Schindler’s List where the townspeople are screaming at the Jews to get out, even while they are being loaded into trucks. A lot of people blindly state, “couldn’t happen here.” And even after watching this, I’ll probably still say that, but it will take me a second. That second is really scary to think about.
